Representatives of the GFBiochemicals management team were in Canada last week.  They attended the 12^th BIO World Congress on Industrial Biotechnology, 19-22 July in Montreal.  The BIO World Congress is the largest international event for industrial biotech.

Marcel van Berkel presented our levulinic acid direct from biomass during ‘Market Opportunities for Biobased Monomers and Materials’ on 22 July.  Marcel also took part in the Sofinnova Start Award Up Presentation on 20 July, where he proudly announced the start up of our plant in Caserta, Italy.  He was joined at the conference by Rudy Parton, Director Technology and Applications Development, and Alexander Krapivin, Global Business Development Manager.
