Last week, Daniela Ribezzo attended and spoke at APCS 2015 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  GFBiochemicals’ new Global Business Development Manager demonstrated levulinic acid's many applications for coatings and resins.

This year’s coatings show focused on the progress in organic coatings science and technology.  Levulinic acid from GFBiochemicals is a platform chemical for superior biobased coatings.  

Daniela said, “Benefits of using levulinic acid for the coatings and resins market include cross-linking, improved processability and reduced VOC. Among the other performance advantages offered by the many derivatives of leculinic acid, Diphenolic acid (DPA) can replace bisphenol A (BPA) while providing durable impact resistance and additional functionality.”
